Our programme pursued these objectives: - Staff training: We invested in the digital updating of the teaching staff to provide them with tools that would allow them to face the challenges in teaching-learning, since all of the improvements made to the teaching process would better students´ results. - Digitalization of the school: School management by digital tools was an important aspect to improve within our school. It was necessary to replace traditional tools and resources with digital ones, due to their efficiency and sustainability. This would also be the starting point to achieve digital literacy with the students´ families, mainly with those in situations of social disadvantages. - Updating teaching methodology: Teaching staff wanted to update their teaching skills by learning the use of new educational apps as a way to motivate their students.
In 2019, our San Sebastián School applied its first Erasmus Project KA101 for School Education and Staff Mobility. Our school, with a teaching tradition older than 50 years and previous experience in European exchange programmes (Comenius) and international ones (One World, One School Project), decided to start again participating in international programmes and considered it as a good opportunity to update professional skills for facing teaching challenges. The manager of the school, together with the coordinators of the Bilingual programme and the coordinator of teacher training, considered the application of the programme as an opportunity to start working on modernizing the school, digitalizing processes, and developing teachers professional skills in the context of European programmes.
