We wanted to improve three areas according to the needs of the school. a) Evaluation and Innovation To improve professional skills in the use of new tools and teaching methods and in organisation and competence assessment. To foster the implementation of new methodologies that improve the motivation and results of the students and allow the evaluation of competences and help plan a competence-based curriculum and to design assessment. b) Together with new methodologies, training in the use of ICT tools and resources applied to projects involving European schools in order to foster internationalization and collaborative work between teachers, school management and other institutions and programs. c) To enhance linguistic competence development to improve fluency and communication in bilingual subjects. Many of them are STEM so the aim is to make science and bilingual subjects more attractive to pupils. Thus, for the development and improvement of quality and internationalisation our objectives were: 1.- To link our school to other European schools through the creation of relationships and synergies that promote the European dimension and can benefit the school community through its internationalisation, by contacting teachers and professionals with the same motivation and interests in order to form a network for the exchange of experiences and good practices. 2.- To lay the foundations for future mobility of our pupils by making our school's offer more attractive and making it possible to have an impact on their employability and the development of higher education. 3.- Promote the inclusion of disadvantaged and differently abled students in the school and personal environment in order to delay early school leaving. 4.- To improve the incorporation of educational innovation in teaching practice, especially that related to digital competence, competence-based teaching planning and assessment and those related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas. 5.- To improve the professional qualification, linguistic and methodological competence of our teaching staff. 6.- To achieve learning outcomes for participants who will take advantage of the training and experience acquired to consolidate and deepen the knowledge inherent to their teaching practice in benefit of the whole community.
Although there had never been an Erasmus or exchange program in our school, we detected a growing interest in training in ICT and digital competence, foreign languages (mainly English), new methodologies, educational innovation and evaluation. The current activity and increasing participation in eTwinning projects and other innovation projects lead us to think that it is time to address the internationalisation of the school as well as to integrate methodological innovation in different areas. Considering the above, we propose as goals in the area of European mobility and cooperation the training of teachers in subjects such as programming and evaluation by competences and the use of new tools and methodologies; the inclusion of disadvantaged students or students with special characteristics and training in the promotion of STEM areas. We believe that it is essential to give our teachers and students the opportunity to participate in projects with other European institutions and to contact teachers and students from other countries to motivate their learning or teaching process and to have a European vision of education. Involving staff and disseminating Erasmus+, is the way to get students to activate their real interest in learning and training in a different country.
