Objectives

The main objectives we wanted to achieve: 1-Empower teachers in the educational use of platforms, programs, databases, 3D tools or other digital tools within the "flipped classroom" methodology 2-Create a good communicative connection between the educational community. This objective arises as a consequence of the new Management Plan promoted in our center during the academic year 2018-2019, where there is a need for teacher training that allows a good use of Google's technological tools for communication in different areas: interdepartmental, with families and with students. 3-Take learning beyond the classroom, understanding that the work of teachers with good knowledge and competence in ICT is that of a facilitator in the learning process, accompanying the student in the construction of their own knowledge. 4-Fight against absenteeism and school failure. 5- Promote a center that is more creative, participatory and closer to society and to other European centers with the same characteristics, with which in the near future we can collaborate or exchange students. 6-Strengthen the European dimension, which is wanted to be guaranteed to all students.

Background

Our center considered the need for digital training of teachers, because the European Development Plan that we proposed to carry out depended on it. In this context, we found that: a-Few teachers used digital tools or the Classroom environment. b-The pedagogies were teacher-student in a high % of master classes. c-The center presented 9% of school absenteeism, which could be remedied with new pedagogies and new digital tools to make teaching more attractive to this sector of students. d-The failure was more than 50% of students who did not pass the 4th ESO degree. In the case of 2nd Baccalaureate, failure was 38%. Hence the need to request a training project in new methodologies and digital tools.
