Background

The STEAMcat+ project is a consortium of 8 basic education centers in Catalonia, coordinated by the Sub-directorate for Innovation and Training of the Department of Education, which, despite their peculiarities, share the same objective: to help create a reference STEAM framework for the centers of Catalonia. In the 2018-19 academic year, the Department of Education of the Generalitat de Catalunya launched the STEAMcat pedagogical innovation program, in which 50 basic education centers have participated, lasting three years. In this context, from the coordination, it is proposed to these 8 centers to participate in a consortium that also allows them, on the one hand, to start and explore the possibilities offered by the Erasmus programs and from the observation of other schools and the completion of courses . broaden the perspective on their specific interests in STEAM didactics. All of them were interested, in addition to promoting the mobility of the students and encouraging that of the teaching staff. In short, this project has created a space for exchange at a local and European level that will improve the quality of the participating centers and deepen innovation as STEAM reference centers.
