The stated objectives that were intended to be achieved with the project were: Objective: Internationalize the high school, support actions beyond the local area in an open and flexible environment. Objective: To acquire new methodologies and work skills related to the activities carried out in nature.. Objective:Improve curricular competencies in foreign languages Objective:To improve quality and innovation, in particular, through greater international cooperation or activity All this is based on a series of priorities, such as improving teacher training and learning to apply naturalistic methodologies (which are included in the curricula of the leading European schools in this field), as well as improving cooperation with partners from other countries to organize international projects. In addition, throughout the project it was intended to: - make life long learning and mobility a reality. - improve the quality and efficiency of education and training. - promote equity, social cohesion, inclusion and active citizenship through activities in the natural environment.
INSTITUT FRANCESC MACIÀ has always had a great tradition of activities carried out in the natural environment (camping, skiing, orientation activities, etc...) in several subjects (Biology, PE, History, etc...) as an important part of the school curriculum. and integrated into the programs of different subjects. Therefore, our high school intended to improve the ability to carry out these activities in the natural environment by learning new ways of working, visiting schools that already did so, etc. Thus, the activities requested in this project allowed us to improve the management of such activities and all their didactic and educational aspects. In addition, some needs were detected in our high school, regarding the didactic methodologies related to activities in the natural environment and the learning of foreign languages, in addition to knowledge in digital tools, the CLIL methodology, or the increase in motivation to our students, (which we thought could reduce cases of school dropout). For some departments it was important to increase the mobility of members abroad, since until now, they had not participated in activities related to Erasmus projects. Moreover, updating and modernizing teaching methodologies is a need that the high school had to remedy and it was very important to improve these activities, incorporate ideas, and learn from institutions that have been developing this type of activity for some time.
