Objectives

Our students will soon be looking for their first job and need quality training to improve their employability. On the other hand, the teachers of the institute need to know new forms of teaching and business models, expand the network of contacts to establish new partners for the realization of future mobilities of students from all areas and professional cycles of the center. Our ultimate goal is to improve the quality of the training offered to our students. The Institute wishes to give itself a European dimension and promote international cooperation between schools and companies, to facilitate the integration of students in multinational companies in our environment and to achieve an innovative and transparent development of the FCT (Internships in Work Places). We also wish to promote a space for lifelong learning and the interest in learning the languages and cultures of other EU countries.

Background

The Federica Montseny Secondary School is located in the outskirts of Valencia. It offers training in Compulsory Secondary Education, Baccalaureate, Intermediate and Higher Vocational Training in the Health, Commerce, Electricity-Electronics, Installation and Maintenance and Basic Vocational Training in Maintenance and Commercial Activities. The institute has extensive experience in European Programs and currently has ERASMUS+ 21-27 accreditation in Higher, VET and School. To carry out this project, a strong working team has been formed that includes members of the management team, tutors, representatives of the Guidance Department, representatives of each professional cycle taught at the Center and coordinators of international programs. In total, more than 20% of the teaching staff is involved in tasks related to these projects. The VET students come from families with a low-middle socio-cultural level, with few possibilities of leaving their environment and having international experiences, in addition to a low competence in foreign languages and lack of personal autonomy. This project is a great opportunity for them to improve all these aspects.
