Objectives

The main objective of this project has been to give continuity to the internationalisation process of the school, started in previous years. In general terms, we want to grow as a centre within the management of European projects and learn from all our host partners through cooperation, commitment and responsibility. For this reason, and with the aim of improving year after year in order to carry out quality mobilities, it is important to highlight that of the short-term objectives established mainly in the plan, the following have been achieved: The students who have carried out short mobilities have become aware of the European sense that from INTER we always transmit, thus increasing the desire to participate in this type of projects in order to know and promote internationalisation at a social level. In the case of the students on long mobilities, in addition to broadening their professional and work experience, the students have been able to compare the different health systems with respect to our country, thus being able to develop their own critical thinking within the health branch. The long-term effects are more difficult to evaluate, but it is highly reflected that both our students and the staff of the centre show a great interest in the European sense and awareness due to the implementation of these European projects in our centre, as we are always committed to internationalisation. Moreover, it should be noted that the management of these projects is supervised, apart from the management, by all the staff involved: coordinator of training cycles, head of studies, accounting department, teaching department, as well as, of course, the department of European projects. Finally, another of the objectives achieved is to try to leave behind the intermediary companies, more than in specific and necessary cases. However, we need to improve in innovation and methodologies and in the dissemination of projects, a fact that we work on year after year in order to achieve an improvement in these aspects and, therefore, to provide our internationalisation with maximum quality.

Background

This project corresponds to the continuation of other similar projects initiated in the academic years between 2015 and 2018, with mobilities for students of Intermediate Level Training Cycles, maintaining a total of 14 mobilities for students programmed. It is important to highlight that 6 of them (2 students from the Mechanics vocational training course and 4 from the Nursing vocational training course) were affected and were cancelled due to the global pandemic situation caused by the COVID. The students were unable to carry out the mobilities, even though all the documents, annexes and agreements had been completed, until the outward flight had been purchased (later reimbursed in full by the airline company). As reflected in the Mobility Tool, in the project 2019-1-ES01-KA102-060615, a total of 8 mobilities have been declared, all of them for students of the Mechanical and Nursing Middle Degrees. The mobilities have been carried out in 4 different streams. On the one hand, 3 students of the Middle Degree in Nursing have carried out extracurricular internships in a residence in Fredrikstad (Norway), and a group of 2 students belonging to the same cycle have carried out extracurricular internships in a residence located in Liège (Belgium). And to finish with this cycle, a last student enjoyed the FCT module internship in Campobasso (Italy). Lastly, two students of the Intermediate Degree in Mechanics carried out partial internships (as part of the FCT module) in two workshops in Vasto (Italy). We requested this project in order to be able to provide a quality service, in terms of internationalisation, to all the students and staff of our centre, so that they can live the Erasmus+ experience first hand and understand and acquire the European sense in order to be able to disseminate it in future plans. As a vocational training centre, our main objective is that students learn and train professionally, so we firmly believe that this type of mobility allows them to be trained at social, cultural, labour, linguistic level.
