In the first place, one objective is to improve the professional and personal skills of the students, through the internationalization of the center, since we understand that this increases their possibilities of development and linguistic skills necessary for their insertion in the labor market. Another objective is to improve teaching methods, using new methodologies more in line with the labor market in Vocational Training in which teamwork, use of languages and tools and ability to adapt to all kinds of situations and environments, with people from other cultures, languages and traditions are demanded. With this project we have learned about the way of working of companies with corporate social responsibility that respect Human Rights and environmental sustainability, focusing on Active Tourism companies consolidated in a unique environment such as Norway, a leader in business training of this type. Finally, we wanted to work on the motivation to face new challenges by going out of their environment, through an experience that would increase their feeling of European citizenship, knowing a different culture with common values.
This project has been the continuation of a previous project with which we achieved very positive results. With this project we wanted to get several of our students to do internships in Active Tourism companies in Norway, a pioneer country in the activities in the natural environment. This is not only a unique work experience, but also an improvement in personal and professional skills. This is one of the objectives of our center, the internationalization of our center through the experiences of the members of the educational community, within our motto, "Curiosity, impulse and support" that underlies our work at IES ITACA. In addition, by applying for this project we continue training in new bilingual methodologies and developing teamwork both in our center and with other teachers from other parts of Europe with which we can mutually enrich each other. For us, applying for this project has been a way to work in a coherent way and according to the demands of the current labor market of Vocational Training in our environment.
