The OBJECTIVES that were intended to be achieved with this project are the following: --> Promote the personal development of our students, mainly the youngest and those with less experience abroad, as they have to manage by themselves in a new environment for them. --> Improve the language skills of our Vocational Training students, mainly oral communication skills. --> Give students the opportunity to have a first work experience outside of Spain, which gives their Curriculum Vitae professional skills that will increase their employability options. --> Make classroom learning effective with its application in the world of work. --> Promote, enhance and encourage learning and exchange of different forms of work, providing the student with new work methods, providing a unique experience of developing their work and personal skills and abilities. --> Maintain fluid communication with our host partners, mainly during the months in which the student is carrying out their mobility in the company.
The Institute of Secondary Education and Vocational Training IES "JAVIER GARCÍA TÉLLEZ" of Cáceres, after carrying out several Leonardo and Erasmus + mobility projects with great success and acceptance since 2011, has continued its journey with the project "SCHOLARSHIPS ERASMUS+ TÉLLEZ: OPENING BORDERS AND CHANGING LIVES”, framed within Key Action 1 in the KA-102 modality, where students enrolled in Intermediate Training Cycles participate. Regarding the PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS, this project has 16 "short-term" mobilities (VET-SHORT) for STUDENTS and RECENT GRADUATES, within the 3 professional families that our Center has (Automotive, Electricity/Electronics and Health ), so that they can carry out TRAINING PRACTICES IN COMPANIES outside of Spain. We currently have 6 HOST PARTNERS, most of them companies from Portugal, due to their proximity to our Autonomous Community (Extremadura), although one of the goals we have set for this year is to increase the number of partners for future European projects. 3 ACCOMPANYING mobilities were also requested to support and help students with less experience abroad as necessary.
