In the project proposal, the following objectives were set out in accordance with the needs of the centre: -Improve the employability of students by 10%. In general, the centre has a large number of students with a medium-low socio-economic level, due to its proximity to one of the most disadvantaged areas of the city of Alicante. With this experience we managed to provide this group with new job opportunities and at the same time combat youth unemployment. - Improve by 20% the linguistic skills of the students. -Increase by 25% the number of students who graduate, to combat school dropout. Thanks to the training activities, students will consolidate their achievements and will relate them to the skills required in their profession, to the responsible organisation of their work and to the capacity to develop teamwork. They will also grow in autonomy and will be capable of develop a good number of tasks directly related to their profession, which will increase their chances of entering the labour market in a satisfactory way. Participants will also acquire competence in a foreign language, making it easier for them to get a job.
Our project proposal was conceived as an extension and improvement of the KA102 project managed in previous years, which since its origin has generated a really positive impact among the students of Vocational Training. An atmosphere of globalisation has been generated, so that our students are beginning to consider the European dimension, with possibilities of study and work beyond our borders. At the same time, it has become a great source of motivation for both students and teachers. The applications we have received this year to participate in the Erasmus+ programmes have completely exceeded our expectations, which has prompted us to look for new destinations, contact new partners and begin to develop our own network of European contacts, infected by the enthusiasm of our students.
