The objectives that form part of our European Development Plan, and therefore of the present project, are the following: - Objective 1.- to acquire new educational methodologies, new working skills and to promote lifelong learning. - To innovate and improve professional quality through international cooperation and to consolidate the entrepreneurial spirit for the development of business activities and initiatives. - Objective 3.- internationalisation of the Centre, supporting actions beyond the local level and creating an open and flexible environment.
The IES La Minilla has been carrying out multilateral projects for many years, from Socrates/Comenius to Erasmus+, and cooperating with more than 10 countries, from 1999 until now, both for compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, as well as for vocational training, coordinating the vast majority. This fact, together with the fact that the school has students from many countries all over the world, has increased our need for internationalisation, the understanding of European unity and the search for harmony, both on a personal and professional level. On the other hand, the IES La Minilla has been responding to the changing reality of education and especially of vocational training, being part of the group of internationalised educational institutions. This fact requires us to constantly adapt to new situations and demands, and therefore it is essential to cooperate with other educational centres abroad that allow us to learn and share the experience, knowledge and way of doing things from other professionals. In this sense, the mobility of both students and teachers is a strategic element for the achievement of integration, social cohesion and the single labour market in the European Union. Our previous experience teaches us that these training mobilities also involve the acquisition, improvement or implementation of aspects such as: - personal competences, professional skills, and skills to adapt to a linguistic and cultural environment, - work methods and techniques carried out in foreign companies, - multiply the employment prospects and professional qualifications of our students, - social and organisational skills that are fundamental to achieve an adequate professional insertion of our students, - motivation and inspiration in the teaching practice of our teachers, and knowledge of other education systems abroad, - security, independence and personal and professional maturity of all the participants of the mobilities and the rest of the educational community, - and, in general, to create links in order to be able to travel as a teacher to companies or educational centres in the sector, with the aim of making our culture, traditions and working methods known, as well as to bring about changes in terms of modernisation and international openness within each educational department. The aim of this project was to maintain a school where collaborative learning is worked on, tools, knowledge and educational strategies are sought that help to reduce school drop-out rates, increase personal and professional motivation and create links with other people, both inside and outside the educational sphere.
