Within the framework of the internationalization of the vocational training in Madrid, we find that there is a recurrent need in schools to increase awareness of European citizenship as well as to offer a greater number of opportunities abroad. Responding to the manifested need to have a common support and management team, the Foundation has continued to assume this role as coordinator that it has been developing since 2015. By carrying out the tasks of project management, including those related to the centralized selection process, negotiation with intermediary companies for the management of sites, accommodation and accompaniment, travel to the country of destination, preparation activities and many dissemination activities among others, teachers have been freed up so that they can focus on supporting students at the training level during the project. The process of continuous evaluation of the intermediaries, as well as the continuous search for successful references for possible incorporations allows us to try to respond to the very varied needs of development of professional competences of the specialties of the participating/sending centers.
"From Madrid to Europe, Erasmus + Vocational Training" answers to the interest of the Montemadrid Foundation to support and promote the internationalization of Vocational Training in the region of Madrid, hand in hand with the General Directorate of Vocational Training and Special Regime Education of the Advisory Council of Education, Youth and Sports of the Community of Madrid ("DG FP"), whose support for the project and its coordination has been given by VET technical advisors of the different Directorates of Territorial Area. Thus, the project coordinated by the Montemadrid Foundation, which has been active since the Erasmus+ 2015 call, seeks to facilitate administrative and international coordination tasks and search for services (flights, insurance, support for SEN, etc.) and partners capable of hosting even the most vulnerable profiles with the maximum guarantees of professionalism, ensuring then quality mobilities for students and accompanying teachers, paying special attention to participants with functional diversity and/or at risk of social exclusion.
