Objectives

-Greater intercultural awareness and awareness of the values of the EU. Many of the consortium member centers are located in small towns with a fundamentally agricultural economy, where students, in many cases, have not had the opportunity to learn about other educational, labor, social and cultural realities other than those of their local environment. Very few of the students from the consortium member centers have been able to travel outside their country and get to know cultures other than Spanish. -Increase the level of foreign languages among students, since a large part of the labor market is the service sector, which increasingly requires bilingualism. -Need for improvement in digital competence, in the use of collaborative tools and management of digitized documentation -Improve the autonomy, self-sufficiency and self-confidence in the participants -Create a consortium that grows until it manages to incorporate the largest possible number of Vocational Training Institutes in the province.

Background

Although the macroeconomic data have improved significantly in recent years, Andalusia continues to have an unemployment rate higher than the national average and in the case of Granada these figures are more negative. The province is made up of 174 municipalities, of which 169 are towns with fewer than 20,000 inhabitants, the number of secondary education schools are few and therefore the possibility of students from these centers accessing Erasmus+ mobility is very low as that in most cases the institutes do not apply for the program independently. In addition, we are referring to a rural area affected by depopulation, so carrying out initiatives that give young people from these territories greater opportunities and help them to launch professional initiatives in their environments of origin is the main objective. Secondly, as a local provincial entity, we seek to provide support and help to other institutions in the province, which is why we have chosen the modality of participation through a consortium.
