Objectives

The main purpose of this project was to give continuity to the internationalization process in which we are immersed. Here we have worked through the mobility of students and teachers, in the first case so that they could carry out the FCT module with a stay of two months in European companies, and in the second so that they could carry out job shadowing tasks. in similar centers in shorter periods; In both cases, the intention was always to integrate a network of knowledge as vast as possible. In the case of students, these mobilities aim to give them the opportunity to live an experience that will surely represent a turning point in their professional lives. It is expected that, when these students return, they will have obtained knowledge in chemistry that will lead to a leap in quality in their curricula, and increase their chances of finding a decent and well-paid job, also, having improved their linguistic knowledge and gaining confidence. in itself that will be of great use to them in their professional future.

Background

At IES Tegueste we have an Intermediate Degree cycle of the Professional Family of Chemistry, the CFGM Laboratory Operations, with which we train essential professionals for the operation of basic sectors of the Canarian economy, but with a quite complicated labor reality due to that the industrial sector has traditionally taken a backseat in the economy of the islands. Thus, the project was developed with the intention that our students of this cycle would have the opportunity to carry out the Work Center Training (FCT) module in companies in Europe for two main reasons, so that they could have an enriching experience that It would allow them to understand that the jump to Europe from the Canary Islands is not as big as it seems if you look at it on a map, and with the idea that they would return to the islands with some knowledge and an entrepreneurial vision.
