Objectives

The main objectives of this project have been: - Awareness by students and teachers of their European citizenship despite living on a small Mediterranean island. - Satisfy the labor needs of students for the acquisition and improvement of skills and qualifications that facilitate their personal development. - Be aware of the different ways of working while broadening the horizons at the cultural and social level of participating students in carrying out a training stay for internships in another country during their internship period. -Promote the internationalization of the teaching staff of our center through the mobility of personnel for their training. - Improve the linguistic competence of our students and teachers. - Maintain established contacts with other European institutions and develop new contacts to expand our network of mobility partners.

Background

This project was requested in order to promote the mobility of students from our center to European countries, for the internationalization of our educational community. Our center considers the possibility of carrying out business internships abroad a unique opportunity for our students, taking into account that the opportunities both at the internship level and at the labor level are very limited on the island of Menorca. At the same time, when requesting this project, we wanted to satisfy the demand of the students to go outside the island and expand their professional, linguistic and personal growth knowledge. It should be noted that many of our students have never left the island. Therefore, these scholarships represent a unique opportunity for our students to get to know other countries and other cultures while expanding their professional knowledge, growing as people, becoming aware that they are European citizens and improving their language skills.
