We have continued applying the "Plan for quality improvement and internationalization of IES Abastos", and it has been expanded based upon the results obtained. Our objectives have been: •Study of project-based learning with the idea of motivating students and reducing absenteeism and dropouts in Basic VET. •Study of the use of ICT in the classroom and at the schools, introducing a reduction in paper usage. •Expanding its application to new partners, in new countries, who can provide us with new perspectives and good practices. •Improving student placements in Spanish and EU companies, learning about the training capacities, professional skills and transversal skills required by companies in different countries and training students in them. •Prompting students to do internships in the EU in order to improve their training and their employability, learning about other forms of work so that free worker movement within the EU is a reality. •Greater international dimension through collaboration with similar centers in other associated countries, promoting the exchange of experiences and skills. •Providing continuity to relations with partners from previous calls.
At the start of the project we already had contacts in companies within the EU to carry out mobilities for work placements. During its development we have increased the number of companies, homologous centers and countries for future mobilities. Collaboration with partners from previous calls has been reinforced. Collaboration with other centers and institutions of the EU has been essential in order to propose solutions to common problems and standardize strategies. To achieve the objectives set out in the mobilities, we chose the following partners: -La Croix Rouge La Salle (France) -Wales Colleges (UK) -Røyken videregående skole (Norway) -Tuttosport SRL (Italy) -Commercial Technical Institute Bazoli (Italy). Canceled due to Covid-19 -Hash Clothing and Label Clothing (UK), where a Pre-Planning Visit was carried out. -Computer for Charities (UK), where we carry out mobilities since the 2015 call -Irapido SRL (Italy), new host company facilitated by our partner Tuttosport SRL The participating staff, motivated and involved in improving the teaching and employability of the students, had experience in VT, in tutoring internships in companies and, for the most part, had the linguistic proficiency to teach classes in English.
