Objectives

One of the fundamental objectives is to generate values to be more critical, to promote a responsible position and solidarity with the environment. Be more independent, responsible, autonomous and value other cultures. Enrich themselves with an experience that is given to them to learn to perform tasks related to their modality and show them that they are capable of doing it, that there are no borders. Travelling and working in other countries makes them mature as professionals and as people. Improve their professional, social and personal skills to improve their employability, which avoids the risk of unemployment and social marginalization. We need more cohesive groups to create in them a feeling of belonging to the community, and not just to their neighborhood. Guide them to offer them opportunities for integration and generate common European values, independent of the socio-economic and island condition that makes it difficult, in most cases, for a more global opening. Increase the opening of the Vocational Training School and its internalization. Encourage our students to acquire a European vision. Improve their linguistic competence. As for the teaching staff, improve the professional and linguistic skills of the teaching staff.

Background

This project is requested given the characteristics of our students who meet the socio-economic conditions that in most cases hinder their labor insertion, this together with the condition of the Canary Islands to be an outermost region, recognized by European legislation, Erasmus + becomes an effective and fundamental tool to cover some of its shortcomings and prevent the environment from determining their future work. It is an opportunity to internationalize the center and adopt the best practices of other European institutions. Erasmus+ is a tool that promotes social integration, improves intercultural understanding and gives them the opportunity to participate actively in society. Technology is changing the way our students relate and this type of project avoids this inequality of opportunities which they undergo daily. We try to ensure that they make good use of technology and use it to work together, to innovate and to continue training. It is an opportunity to internationalize our Vocational Training School and adopt the best practices of other institutions.
