Background

The City Council of Soria, in consortium with seven local VET schools (Escuela de Arte y superior de diseño de Soria, CIFP La Mercede, CIFP Pico Frentes, IES Virgen del Espino, IES Castilla, IES Politécnico e IES Antonio Machado) applied for a fifth edition of PROJECT EUROPE, with the aim of exponentially improving the employability of the participants, contributing directly to the development of a professional experience in the specific academic field of the participant, as well as to the acquisition of a series of transversal cultural, social and linguistic competences that would help them to integrate into the labour market and into a more just and sustainable society. By applying for this project, the City Council also intended to bring the new knowledge acquired by the young people to Soria, which would result in new opportunities for improvement for the city and for the local companies that would hire one of these young people. By contributing to the Europeanization of the city and the modernization of the companies, many young people do not see the need to leave and make this city the ideal place to live and to work and/or develop their future business projects.
