Objectives

La Ferreria is an institute focused on vocational training studies and for this reason its main objective is to train its students to face the current context. Students who are studying VET cycles need to face a competitive and global employment situation and for this they need to acquire tools that allow them to be more flexible and have an international perspective. Therefore, the center proposed with this project to improve both the linguistic skills of the students and those transversal skills, which have to do with knowing how to be: work as a team, be proactive, develop autonomy and problem-solving ability. Therefore, the proposed objectives are: Improve the employability of vocational training students. Improve linguistic and transversal skills. Update and expand teaching methodologies for teachers. Promote the development of cultural skills in teachers.

Background

La Ferreria presented this project as a consequence of its long history in the implementation of Erasmus+ projects that have been developed in past years. On the one hand, the institute has a wide range of training cycles and therefore pays special attention to the complementary training that it can offer to the students who study it. The center has been implementing parallel experiences such as Learning Through English, exchanges with homologous institutes in other European countries, as well as receiving foreign students. All these activities together aim to develop the internationalization of the center to favor the personal and professional development of the institute's students and promote the social development of the area.
