We want to give a new focus to our institution in order to give it an international stamp. We see difficult years ahead because of the low birth rate, which will reduce demand. Only a quality teaching offer with a high degree of employability among students will be sustainable over time. In the medium and long term, the implementation of these mobilities will allow the internationalisation and improvement of the teaching staff. The teaching quality to which we aspire contemplates learning stays abroad. This activity will be key for the staff, both in terms of methodology and motivation. We detect that the teaching staff can fall into routine and conformism. This may be due to various causes: deterioration of the authority of teachers in society, increasing conflict among students, low academic performance, lack of career incentives, little social recognition, etc. For all these reasons, we see this as a golden opportunity to stimulate and inspire teachers and to serve as a catalyst for the rest of the teaching staff.
For more than 50 years, our organisation has been oriented towards the rural world, favouring sustainable development and promotion in areas at risk of exclusion due to their isolation. In the current context of globalisation, it is very important to know the latest technological and pedagogical innovations. Moreover, our sector is particularly sensitive for the European Union as reflected in the importance of the CAP and ERDF funds. We believe that the project brings together several EU objectives and strategies: a) In relation to the CAP (2014-2020), because it allows to know and explore the new European policies of sustainability and use of the natural environment in other areas of the EU. b) In relation to Europe 2020, the European Union's ten-year strategy for growth and employment, our project aimed to: 1) Improve the sustainability of forestry use through the knowledge of new methodologies in agricultural and forestry exploitations; 2) Increased youth employment: through self-employment and the improvement of the students' curricula. 3) Greater care for the environment and awareness in the fight against climate change. 4) Reducing inequality through the mobility of students with fewer opportunities.
