Objectives

The center has an internationalization strategy with overall objectives, which is implemented in the different mobility programs that it carries out (KA102/KA121, KA103/KA131, and KA107/KA171). Specifically for this KA102 project, the following objectives were set: - For the participating students: 1) Improvement of language skills in English 2) Improved employability, either through continuing their studies or through an employment contract 3) Improvement of non-formal competencies: cultural, social, autonomy, and European values. - For the center: 1) Strengthening international relations 2) Promotion of Vocational Training. In the original project, teacher mobilities were also requested but were not granted, so neither these objectives nor those of the center associated with these activities are mentioned. It should be noted that this project has been impacted by COVID-19, for which an additional objective was set for the center corresponding to the management of safe mobilities. There was also a change in the professional family of the project, initially aimed at commerce but finally implemented in IT

Background

The Professional Vocational Training Center (CPIFP) Los Enlaces is a specific public Vocational Training center located in the city of Zaragoza. Since the 2010/11 academic year, it has been a specialized center for professional studies, currently teaching 3 Technician diplomas and 11 Higher Technician diplomas for the "Commerce and Marketing", "Image and Sound", and "Computer Science and Communications" studies. Since 2007, the center has had a long experience in the management of Higher Technician mobilities, but less in the Intermediate Level, this being the second implemented project. Traditionally, technical students in our center are very young, but not homogeneous by professional field, presenting diverse cases. Thus, computer science and commerce students have a clearer idea of their professional future, while image students have more problems and seek less formal education. Regardless of this, for most of the students, these studies imply their first access to the labor market. Specifically, the project was requested to facilitate their employability, and improve their labor and linguistic skills.
