Background

Given the high level of youth unemployment in Jaén (36.78%, according to the province's Economic Observatory), the "Jaén+" Mobility Consortium (made up of the Jaén Provincial Council and 31 vocational training centres in the province, after 5 withdrawals and 2 additions) has developed the fourth project "JAÉN+: Vocational Training with Plus in Europe", which is already a reference in the province, developing linguistic, personal and cultural competences of the young people. The Provincial Delegation of Education collaborates in the Mobility Commissions, authorising and validating the mobilities at educational level. The aim is to increase the employability of young graduates and students through international mobilities for internships in companies in Europe, contributing to: adapting their profiles to the current local labour market; the competitiveness and innovation of companies in the province; and the internationalization of the FPGM, rebalancing the opportunities for young people from any municipality of Jaén and generating a sustainable dynamic of internationalization beyond the project. Diputación provides its own funds for the quality improvement of the project, in personnel, training and economic complement to mobility.
