Objectives

This project has allowed, for the first time, to offer a complementary training to the students between 3rd and 6th year of Professional Music Education in Osuna in a Music centre in Italy, giving continuity and a new dimension to their musical studies in an international context. In addition, teachers mobilities have been carried out to perform a job shadowing training in that Italian centre, with the ultimate goal of learning of other ways of doing and exchanging experiences in the development of programs related to the wind and string specialties for an enhancement of the instrumental specialties in the CPM of Osuna. In this sense, the fundamental needs that the conservatory wanted to ease by carrying out this project, have been: - To deepen in the strategy of dynamization of the rural environment through musical culture and education. - To offer a minimum of experience related to the internationalization of our studies, giving the possibility to our students to make contact with other musical realities.

Background

The REACH INTERNATIONAL MUSIC EXPERIENCE (RIME) project was born from the idea of the Professional Conservatory of Music of Osuna (CPM Osuna) to take a chance on internationalization in its educational strategy, and as part thereof, to promote the exchange of students, teachers and professionals and, ultimately, to promote experiences and methodologies with other institutions similar to the CPM, located in neighbouring countries, mainly in Europe. Thus, the RIME project has given continuity to the collaboration established with the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole (Italy), a centre with a strong tradition of chamber music, on the occasion of the celebration of the I International Meeting of Music and Youth City of Osuna in 2018.
