With the development of this project we aimed to: Offer quality education that integrates the formal VET courses that we teach, with training for employment, mobility and European cooperation. Improve the basic skills and professional skills of students to favour their socio-labour insertion, their entrepreneurial capacity or the continuity of their studies. Facilitate mobility for students with economic/social difficulties so that the experience acquired allows them to overcome obstacles. Expand training opportunities abroad for our staff so that they can share their experiences with the entire institution and move forward in improving quality and internationalization. Establish national and international cooperation networks between our school and companies in the health sector related to the courses taught at the CIFP, to gain recognition and visibility. Encourage students and staff to use and be interested in foreign languages as a tool for collaboration and communication in multicultural environments and to exercise European citizenship. Link the teaching/learning of languages in VET to Erasmus+ programmes and to greater job opportunities in order to give relevance to the technical English module in the VET curriculum.
We applied for this project because the Lorca CIFP, according to its Quality Policy, should continue to participate in the Erasmus+ programme to more successfully address the constants of our institution and the changes that may influence it, such as education policies, demographic changes , immigration, the labour market, internal changes (teachers, management team, students...) as well as other more global aspects. Erasmus+ projects allow us to advance in our strategy of enhancing quality, visibility and recognition. With them, both our students and our staff can discover new methods, approaches and teaching/learning tools and new ways of working; improve our English and learn other languages, exchange experiences with European colleagues, advance in the domain of ICT, participate in innovation projects... We have learned to see mobility around the EU countries as a set of opportunities for our students and staff to gain in social skills and commitment, in personal autonomy and self-initiative, in creativity and self-esteem, fundamental skills to fulfill themselves personally and professionally and to overcome any kind of disadvantages and or obstacles.
