Objectives

In the project proposal, the following objectives were proposed in accordance with the needs of the school: -Improve the employability of the students In general, the centre has a large number of students with a medium-low socio-economic level, the centre is located in an eminently rural area with difficult access to the world of work . With this experience we are able to offer this group new job opportunities and, at the same time, combat youth unemployment. - Improve the language skills of the students. - Increase the number of students who graduate, in order to combat school drop-out rates. Their internships abroad will enable students to consolidate their achievements and relate them to the competences required in their professional field and to the ability to develop teamwork. They will also grow in autonomy and be able to perform tasks directly related to their profession, which will increase their chances of successfully entering the labour market. Participants will also acquire competences in a foreign language, which will facilitate their access to qualified employment.

Background

Our proposal was conceived as a continuation of mobility projects carried out in previous years. From the beginning it generated a really positive impact among the students of Vocational Training. This project had to be suspended due to the pandemic caused by COVID'19 and was postponed twice. Finally it could be carried out in the 2021-2022 academic year. The achievement of this project has generated an atmosphere of globalisation in the centre in such a way that our pupils are beginning to consider the European dimension, with possibilities of studying and working beyond our borders. At the same time, it has become a great source of motivation for both vocational training students and teachers. As a result of this dynamic, last year we applied for VET accreditation and since this academic year we have been an accredited centre. The interest that we are perceiving among students and teachers to participate in Erasmus+ programmes is increasing significantly so we are already trying to create a network of new partners and new destinations for future mobilities.
