Objectives

The objective of the Erasmus+ Jovenes de Almendralejo en Europa III project, as established in the European Development Plan, was to mobilize the students of our town to carry out an internship period in a European company and acquire technical and idiomatic skills that would revalue their professionals profiles and that will also serve as a springboard for professional insertion. In addition to the activities carried out, the program has contributed to the achievement of objectives in the following way: -The experience of those responsible for sending partners has increased in terms of this management modality, student monitoring and internship validation. -It has fostered interest among students in continuing their professional training, by offering them more complete training, new professional opportunities and improving or knowing a second language. -It has improved the language skills and management skills of the staff involved in this proposal. -It has contributed to unifying criteria with the rest of the members in terms of procedures, incident management, logistical organization of mobility, schedules, achieving accreditation as a VET consortium.

Background

The ALJUVE III program, gives continuity to the Erasmus Aljuve 2016 project, is part of a Sustainable Urban Development Strategy, and aims to design a strategic plan to modernize and internationalize the city of Almendralejo. The main objective of the project is to develop human potential through lifelong learning and offer opportunities to achieve the professional insertion of our young people in an increasingly globalized labour market. The Erasmus project makes it more attractive to study Vocational Training and Certificates of Professionalism. This program highlights Vocational Training that is increasingly in demand and valued for improving key skills and international cooperation in education and the labour world. Erasmus develops linguistic skills in the participants, as well as autonomy on the international scene. Most of our students come from rural areas and have rarely traveled outside our borders. The possibility of getting to know another country, its language, its culture, its industry and market niches provides this youth with growth opportunities to implement new ways of entering the labor market.
