The aim of this project was to make vocational training students see that they are capable of performing perfectly in a work environment in another country and immersed in another culture. It is meant to encourage personal development in all aspects by adapting to a new country and a new culture. This new program was meant to continue on the path of giving greater projection to our vocacional training of Operations of Laboratory through INTERNATIONALIZATION, and thereby manage to attract a greater number of students and increasethe possibility of employment of those who graduated. The participation of the teaching staff who stayed in the same centers as the students aspired to improve help their understanding of the techniques and the work environment in which they were going to carry out their activity, being able to prepare them better in advance. At the same time, familiarization with these new analysis techniques that could later be applied in the classroom was encouraged, expanding the range of practices that could be implemented in the study center.
The IES LUCUS AUGUSTI has opted for the internationalization of its training, both for students and teachers, for many years. Our institution had already taken part in programs prior to Erasmus+, sending in 2009 2 middle school students to carry out internships as recent graduates to Poland, with a project of the Lugo Town Council. As far as Erasmus+ and Vocational Training are concerned, since 2015 we are developing our own KA1 type projects have been requested and managed for student and teacher mobility in vocational training. Projects have always been requested to be carried out in 24 months, which is why they have been requested every two years. This was the third project of this type and it has given continuity to those of 2015 and 2017. In this project, the number of partners has increased compared to the previous 2 projects, although some of the partners who applied for the project have eventually not received students or teachers (some of them due to COVID). Short-term mobilities have been requested to carry out FCT, long-term mobility for recent graduates, teaching/training personnel and one for a preparatory visit, although not all of them could be carried out due to the pandemic.
