This project had an immediate benefit on the students and it promoted the acquisition not only of specialised knowledge, but also of interpersonal and intrapersonal skills that allowed them to adapt to the changing demands of the labour market and to improve their employability. With this experience, participants were aware of the importance of the English language for communication purposes, since it is the vehicular language of the European Union. Finally, the benefits of this project were the development of an open European awareness by the participants and the entire educational community, bearing in mind the current globalisation of society and the vision of our school as one open to new methodologies, to our students’ permanent learning and to the opportunity to experience new challenges such as those that this project has entailed.
CPR San José applied for this Erasmus+ project as we believe in the need to implement the quality of learning in the English language, as well as to promote the improvement of the skills of our students in the workplace. With this mobility, students were offered the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired in the classroom and to develop a more intercultural knowledge, obtaining new perspectives about their learning and their professional work. The participants had in common their desire to enter the world of work and they saw this training as a possible alternative for their professional retraining. Lastly, we would like to point out that our project has helped enrich the ties that unite us with our collaborators in Dublin, as well as open a window for future cooperation in school and work areas with new partners within the European Union.
