Objectives

The main objective of this project is to promote lifelong learning and the development of skills that enable students to successfully develop a professional future. This implies being able to participate in mobilities related to learning. The fact of offering our students the possibility of doing their FCT in Europe provides them an improvement in their professional profile that differentiates them personally and academically. As we will explain later in the results of the project, the dissemination of the project and the achievements have been very positive. The students have acquired the European feeling, that spirit of belonging to the European community, tolerance towards other cultures, races and origins, as well as self-confidence, the probability of accessing better jobs, getting out of their comfort zone, learning to be more decisive, making contacts in another country that can help them in their professional career, etc.

Background

IES Virgen del Remedio, is a public educational centre where is imparted ESO, Baccalaureate and training cycles of medium and higher grade (face to face and in a blended format), as well as Basic Vocational Training (FPB). This centre is located in an economically disadvantaged zone and with a high percentage of immigration. This project allows to offer new formative perspectives between the personnel of the centre and the students with the purpose to improve the performance and the quality of the education that is imparted. From our origins, we have always tried to innovate and take part in any project that improves the formative and labour opportunities of our students and teachers. Our centre (IES VERGE DEL REMEI Código Erasmus E ALICANT03) has participated uninterruptedly in programmes Erasmus+ K103 and FCT Europe. On the other hand, since 2018, we have taken part in programmes K102 that involve students of Basic Vocational Training (FPB) and medium grade. These programmes have allowed us offer more opportunities to these students that had not otherwise been able to enjoy this experience.
