The main objectives that we intended to achieve with our participation in the Erasmus+ programme for our students were to improve the employability of our students as well as their linguistic competence in a foreign language. With regard to the teaching staff, we wanted to learn first-hand about the education system, specifically in intermediate vocational training, in other programme countries and especially the Dual Vocational Training system, in which Germany is a pioneer, and which we intend to progressively implement in all the intermediate cycles that we teach in our centre.
IES Juan de la Cierva has been participating in the Erasmus programme since 2015 with the aim of offering its students of Intermediate Vocational Training in the families of Electricity, Computer Science, Administration and Automotive the possibility of doing Workplace Training in European countries and for their teachers to learn about the Vocational Training system, especially the Dual, as it is developed in other countries.
