Objectives

Our main objective is to receive the training to face with the greatest guarantees the variety of educational offer after the implementation of the new curriculum and which are essentially focused on the following changes: - Blended Learning. We believe that blended learning should be explored and that it should be part of our offer, since it also has a social demand, and we must respond to it. This training will result in greater digital competence for teachers and students. - Mediation. We are interested in learning the best techniques in this field since, in addition to being an evaluable activity in our certification exams, it is an essential communication and collaboration tool in a multicultural world to build bridges between people with the same or different origins, turning out to be a means of mass understanding at all levels. - C-level courses. We have already offered C2-level groups in German, French, English and Italian, but we believe it is necessary to have teacher training that allows updating and perfecting the teaching of groups at this level since, as a reference center for the east of Madrid, we believe that it is an offer that we must maintain and expand.

Background

The EOI of Alcalá de Henares is a public center dedicated to teaching languages located in Alcalá de Henares, a city of 200,000 inhabitants with mostly adult students. This project seeks to renew and adapt our school to the new challenges posed by the change in the curriculum implemented in the year of our request. All this with a view to improving the quality of our teaching, drawing up a strategic plan that includes a mobility project that trains us and gives us guidelines to face these necessary changes. This new regulation introduces three important challenges: the incorporation of blended teaching, mediation as an evaluable language activity and the implementation of level C in the EOIs, in the 6 languages that we teach. Our European development plan has always been focused on the internationalization of our center as an essential element in 21st century education, as can be deduced from our activities and experience in previous projects. Added to this central element is our need to train, observe and share teaching experiences through courses, job shadowings and teaching mobilities in relation to the three aforementioned challenges.
