Our main objective was to avoid the drop-off of our youngest Secondary Education students. In order to do that we believed in a methodological change to motivate them in a more effective form. This methodological change should be based on encouraging creativity in class and implementing digital and gamification tools during the teaching-learning process. In conclusion, as the name of our project title is "Innovation, motivation, and creativity to prevent early school leaving".
We applied for this project due to the high number of young students that decide to stop their studies in Secondary Education for Adults, most of them come from an early school leaving context since they were in the high school. They are generally young students that enroll in our centre because of family pressure as they are unemployed and many of them start Secondary Education and, as they are not motivated enough, they finally drop off their studies in Adult Education a few weeks after they start.
