Objectives

We understand this internationalisation as a means to build an open-minded educational family that opens new horizons and improves educational competences, linguistically, culturally and professionally. Regarding vocational training, we attempt to make Erasmus+ a tool to encourage more and more students to enroll in our studies and to continue their careers with us. From basic to superior level of vocational training, these mobilities serve as motivational experiences for not only students themselves, but also their families. Another of the objectives was to move the maximum number of Basic Vocational Training students since, according to our experience, they live a transformative situation at a professional and personal level thanks to the scholarships. As for the teaching staff, we want to have the best ones and this project helps them improve their skills while also encouraging them to want to learn more from other experiences that can later be applied in our High School. Involving the largest number of teachers in the management and collaboration of the Erasmus + project is a primary objective, since it absorbs many resources and requires great dedication.

Background

Since 2014, we have carried out an Erasmus project within our centre and, since that moment, the participation in both the teachers and students has been increasing except the 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 academic years in which the lockdown imposed by Covid-19 and the following restrictions allowed us to just arrange one single mobility of four students. With the aim of growing in regards to the number of mobilities and making up for the "wasted" years, a one-year extension for this project was solicited. As for this current year 2022, we have carried out more mobilites than ever despite some of our foreign partners kept dealing with restrictions and other inconveniences such as the Russian conflict. The main reason to request this project is due to the internationalisation strategy in our centre, thereby bearing in mind that the mobility is not an end itself but the means to enhance our educational community and the awareness of European citizenship. For this reason we strive to improve all processes year after year, increasing both the quantity of mobility and its quality, and we hope that Erasmus+ will be an unforgettable experience for our students, teachers and families, both professionally, personally and socially.
