IES A SANGRIÑA ADVANCING IN EUROPE I

2019-1-ES01-KA116-0613792019VET learner and staff mobility with VET mobility charterfinalized
Countries: ES · Grant: €41,955

Objectives

Our goal was to establish new geographical areas of collaboration with counterpart schools. This allows us to analyse the labour needs of these new areas, contact companies, get to know the educational environment of the host country and promote collaborative activities between all the agents involved in this project. By fulfilling the initial objective, the participating students have broadened their personal, professional and linguistic competences, they have improved their analytical and problem-solving skills and they have learned about different work disciplines and new methodologies. The mobilities for teachers have favoured the establishment of links with counterpart schools in Italy and Sweden, fostering the exchange of theoretical knowledge and experiences on pedagogical and working methods. They have also offered non-participating students and teachers the possibility of benefiting from the knowledge and experience gained, and they have promoted the modernisation and international openness of formal and non-formal vocational education.

Background

IES A Sangriña is well aware of the need for vocational training studies that qualify students to adapt to new professional and personal contexts in a changing global environment. For this reason, as a school that promotes international projects, our school has made the internationalization of education, the improvement of teaching, and social inclusion and integration of the young people from our region (the municipalities of A Guarda, O Rosal and Oia, in the south of Galicia) a key part of its strategic plan.
