This project is part of the Erasmus+ programmes, which have been carried out for almost fifteen years, within the framework of the school's internationalisation strategy. The main objective is to offer intermediate vocational training students, who normally have fewer opportunities, work placements in another country with a different language, in order to improve their linguistic competence and professional skills in a real work context. Other objectives are for students to get to know a different culture and working environment, to acquire social skills by having to live with other students and to increase their personal autonomy. With regard to teachers, the main objective is to update their work and teaching practice, improve their linguistic competence and update their theoretical and practical knowledge in observation and training activities in other educational centres, which leads to learning about other educational systems, contrasting them with ours and introducing improvements. For the educational community, increasing interest in Erasmus+ mobility activities and their impact, maintaining and increasing contact with partner schools and host companies, and disseminating these actions at all possible levels.
The Erasmus+ mobility actions, and specifically the VET mobility project Cultural and professional internationalisation of the Universidad Laboral de Toledo 2019-2020, represent a key cornerstone for implementing and consolidating the internationalisation strategy of the centre, at the level of the wholeinstitution, of the staff (teachers, management teams) and of the students of intermediate vocational training, fostering their belonging to a multicultural European community, and focusing on improving, especially in students, their professional and linguistic competences as well as personal and social skills in a real working environment. In addition, with this project, the IES Universidad Laboral seeks to consolidate its network of contacts with educational centres and companies in other countries and disseminate these actions at all levels. 10 students and one teacher took part in mobilities.
