Countries: ES · Grant: €20,666

Objectives

This project has intended to allow students of VET in Construction and Interior Works to carry out three-week technical modules in different partner colleges in Europe. The realization of these modules entails: - a learning of new construction techniques in many cases - working in collaboration with their peers in partner centres - improving their language skills in English - to improve the vision of the construction professions - the rise in self-esteem in many of our students who come here from a school failure In the case of teachers, it has been intended to perform different job-shadowing so that they know first-hand the techniques used in other countries as well as the treatment of energy efficiency in the buildings in them.

Background

The project was requested because since 2007 internationalization is part of our college's strategy. That is why, among other activities, we belong to the EMEU network that emerged as a result of a KA2 Project of which we were partners. Annually the partners, divided into work teams by specialties, offer technical modules to students. These modules are always three weeks and combine a strong technical load with a part of personal experience that increases their European awareness. For the teachers the idea is the same, adding to it the opportunity to work with other teachers of the partner colleges that are part of their team and thus be able to improve the technical offer for both our students and those we receive.
