ARISBAE has been carried out for three years by a group of teachers and adult learners who have worked together in order to revert the situation of Adult Education in their own countries and this way promote the achievement of some common aims, such us: - A methodological change in the adult teaching/learning process - A proposal of possible solutions to the academic failure and consequent school dropouts in this level. - A more adequate adult learners’ training to modern times, focussing on the use of ICTs, the use or Arts as a motivating tool, - A real and more effective integration in society for the most disadvantaged people. - The use of “Good Practice Erasmus+ expositions” as a fundamental activity for the promotion and exchange of innovative proposals specially focussed on the development of new Erasmus + The development of this project has generated “a synergy” which has facilitated the relationship among different areas. Using, as a starting point, school life and classroom work, with this project it has been developed a new link among teachers’ training, class research, continuous training and social and labour integration of those who have needed it. The association has helped European adult learners providing them with activities for improving their comprehension and expression (both reading and writing skills), which have made them get better results in other areas of learning and subsequently in the labour market. New innovative activities have been designed using different tools and working proposals, thus achieving not only an adequate progress in adult learners, especially in those who hadn’t managed to get the basic skills, but also an effective social inclusion due to their belonging to socially disadvantaged environments. Using the methodological proposal “Enseñar bonito y hacer que sea bonito el aprender” (Teaching beautifully and making learning beautiful”) the aim of making learners enjoy during the learning process was achieved. The learners’ own interests were taken into account as a starting point because it was firmly believed that this was the best way to motivate them. The use of creative varied open classrooms made the learning process more practical, and encourage the students’ skills development. This way it was facilitated that the students would relate the contents to the real world. The students became co-designers of their learning process. The ICTs were a good ally to enable the learners to become the protagonists of their own learning. They could have a more direct and nearer experience and a more open relationship with their environment. The students stopped being “simple spectators” and became “real active participants” during the whole process. It was consolidated the interest on the competences, focussing education on the skills and not only on knowledge. Arts (painting, literature, music, craftworks, photography and cinema) were used as the essential tools with which ARISBAE could achieve all the programmed objectives. We firmly believe that the learners have innate qualities that could be used. Using activities following this belief, we managed that the students could connect with their own abilities, learn to use them and gain new knowledge. This way, they could achieve their desired goals. We have got the following final products and results: -website https://www.arisbae.org - the logo, - a poster, - the Flyer, - the course “Propuestas para trabajar la inteligencia emocional en la educación de adultos” (“A proposal to work with emotional intelligence in the adults teaching/learning process”) - the research project “Análisis de las trayectorias socio profesionales del colectivo de las personas con discapacidad en España desde el estudio de Atletas sin Fronteras” (An analysis on the socio professional trajectory of disabled people in Spain from the study by Athletes without Borders), - organizative examples of “Exposiciones de buenas Prácticas Erasmus +” - The magazine ARISBAE, - The documentary ARISBAE - The “sustainability Plan ARISBAE”. We can affirm that this plan was a success as by the end of October 2022 the coordinating centre of ARISBAE organized, in La Laguna, an activity about the dissemination of Erasmus +, in which ARISBAE explained the whole process and conclusions. We obtained a lot of institutional support and many participants. For this reason, we are organizing a second sustainability activity for 2023 in which Erasmus+ from the first event will be submitted. We have presented our activities in the public and local administrations, organizations and different social groups. All the work that has been designed by ARISBAE is available to anyone who is interested in it. It can be requested to any of the members of ARISBAE: SOCAEAN and ASF in Spain, ONLUS in Rovigo (Italy), CPIA in Taranto (Italy) NARODNO CHITALISHTE (Bulgary) and ENVOL in Segre (France).
To achieve general objectives by increasing the capacity and relevance of learning and training by promoting new approaches through the dissemination of good practices. Use advice on core, transversal skills and entrepreneurship. Promote collaborative, creative, motivating and critical thinking learning. On the basis of the shortcomings observed, propose a change in the approach to teaching in the classroom, a change in methodology, offering in-novative proposals that encourage collaborative work to motiva-te, starting from creativity and encouraging the development of critical thinking. This would improve the teaching-learning process of reading and writing, as it is the fundamental tool in all areas. Using creativity, reality, imagination, painting, music and body expression as starting elements to achieve improvement. Promote active networks among participants through the exhibition and dissemination of good practices developed by training and re-search centres, educational authorities, associations... At the same time, evaluate the development of the project and the impact of the proposed models on the change and improvement of adult education. Finally, to publicize the conclusions in order to take them into account in future actions in which the collaborating en-tities increase, trying to promote future synergies base don inter-generational experiences.
The strategic partnership was established with the aim of improving the educational process in adult education through progress in teacher training, both formal and informal, and thus alleviate school failure by offering a new methodology that would lead to improvements with a view to insertion into both the working and social world, especially in disadvantaged groups. The need to draw up a European proposal in order to ge-nerate synergies and thus foster relations between the different areas was addressed. The aim was to create an association in which collaborating centres would join to enrich it. To achieve this, it was considered essential to focus work on "The Presentati-ons of Good Practices". They would show, in an event of exchange of experiences, innovative activities using new tools and proposals for action through the use of various tools (especially through The Arts). This has led to progress in adult students, especially those who have not achieved basic skills. It was necessary to take as a starting point the knowledge of the interests of the students and acted accordingly, offering open, creative and diverse proposals in which he felt co-designers of learning, consolidating the compe-tence-based approach by focusing education on skills and not only on knowledge. We see the need to float the innate qualities of each student to redirect them and achieve the desired goals. The-refore, it was considered necessary to address the emotional field as a very important factor to achieve the objectives. Throughout its development it was necessary to adapt the work plan to the variants caused by the Covid and the war in Ukraine (especially with the Bulgarian partner). These facts led us to hold virtual mee-tings until the situation improved and they could be held in per-son, for this reason the project was extended for a year.
