Project summary

In a Europe with nationalist and populist eruptions that promote racism and xenophobia, we need to strengthen the educational field through active support methodologies and tools, and train educators as facilitators and mediators, with resources to face the challenges of a complex society. This training is oriented towards teachers of schools with complex environments to reinforce social inclusion. Educators need other tools and strategies, because most of them were trained for another type of school. And they need to go beyond the formal processes learned at university. CAPACITARTE was essential to train teachers to prevent and intervene, avoid the deterioration of coexistence, marginalization, discrimination due to difference and diversity, the need to succeed in the schooling of minorities, the prevention of violence, family breakdown and the personalization of coexistence values that avoid segregation. We incorporated active methodologies and promoted the direct participation of teachers to transmit resources and we trained them to exercise a multiplier effect in their current centers and next ones to come, with other teachers and families, considering that the educational process undoubtedly implies a shared challenge. Objectives: 1 Carry out effective training for professionals from the artistic-pedagogical world in active and innovative methodologies. 2 Acquire tools that will later be applied to teachers, management teams and AMPAS of schools 3 Create an intervention NETWORK that allows improving learning through art at European level. 4 Create an international team of trainers. 5 Prepare materials that include training at the content level and micro-videos of training pills. 6 Create a web page for the dissemination and exchange of good practices 7 Train +300 professionals from national structures. 8 Disseminate the project among educational administrations 9 Hold 6 international training meetings. 10 Carry out an external evaluation of the activities. 11 Transfer the contents of the training to the management teams of +6 schools 12 Sign collaboration agreements on adult training between partners and public and private universities. 13 Involve families to address social inclusion. 14 Get +100 volunteers to participate. 15 Achieve a significant impact of the project that allows visibility of the work achieved The planned activities have been carried out conditioned by the pandemic situation, the state of alarm and the COVID-19 protocols of each country, incorporating virtual actions and mixed work in face-to-face actions. In December 2019, the formal presentation of the project took place during the 1st coordination meeting in Brussels. The project was transferred to the structures of participating partners and collaborators at the national level (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Hungary, Germany and Belgium). The common artistic-pedagogical procedures were defined (September - December 2019). The CAPACITARTE website was designed and put into operation, with both face-to-face and virtual training experiences as a result of COVID. The project logo was designed. Follow-up materials have been prepared: attendance certificate models, signature models, information on training workshops, evaluation documents, financial documentation... The 6 face-to-face international meetings planned between May 2021 and May 2022 were held. The 2nd coordination meeting was also held in November 2021 in Mohiville. Good practices have been shared between the collaborating entities of the partners. Impact: Six 30-hour face-to-face European training meetings and two international coordination meetings were held with 263 participants (120 men and 143 women). The 263 people evaluate the meetings and confirm that effective training was carried out with active and innovative interdisciplinary methodologies that promote the internalization of content and the improvement of skills. A European intervention NETWORK has been created. The project reaches 1,040 people directly and in person (teachers, families, artists and other professionals) and indirectly reaches +2,000 professionals. An international team of trainers was created. 382 artists are trained in the project. A web page was created with a private part for the exchange of materials, which serves to provide resources to the participants. The project has been continuously disseminated among 30 schools, 10 universities and 41 other educational entities in 6 countries. The contents of international training have been transferred to the faculty of 30 educational centers during the life of the project, through face-to-face training with teachers (352) and AMPAS (306). We have involved and trained 206 volunteers who will continue the work with teachers and families.
