Santa María Nuestra Señora Diocesan School is located in the city of Écija (40.000 inhabitants), in the province of Seville. Educating in the city since 1935, currently we form a human team with passion for education, focused on providing our students with the formative options for a full integration into society. The educational centre consists of 340 students and 23 teachers plus administrative and maintenance staff, offering from primary to secondary education. The teachers’ updating plans, the integration of pedagogical innovation, and the adaptation of the facilities of the center to the new challenges allow us to advance in an attractive educational project that offers an added value to their training. The education team is deeply committed to educational innovation, as well as to the value of the European dimension offered by the Erasmus+ programmes. Our team of Erasmus+ Projects has identified the needs of the center and valued the options of the collaborative projects to convert them into opportunities of good practices, in order to take advantage of the potential among the partner centers of Erasmus+. Our challenges are framed to respond and improve our competencies in: - Enhance the digital competence of the entire educational community and make open education with innovative practices a reality in the digital age. - Improve attention to diversity with values of real social inclusion to improve equal access to new technologies for pupils with special educational needs. The reality of computational thinking, critical thinking, gives us a space to integrate programming and robotics (scratch 3.0, app-inventor, Lego Education) as focus tools "learning by playing" and "learning by Doing" which facilitates an immersion in the new values of pedagogical innovation in the classroom. Gamification and ICTs are tools that support project based work and expand the educational framework to enrich our center educational project. Our educational community has communication channels and collaborative work spaces to contribute ideas, opinions and projects to advance in constant improvement. ICTs enable us to bring equal opportunities closer to students, and generate new educational spaces for diversity. The real inclusion of people with some disability or special educational needs requires teachers in continuous training and to be attentive to the advances in Pedagogical Innovation that can be integrated in the classroom to take advantage of the tools offered by the digital age. In the Erasmus project, at teacher level, there will be short mobilities (maximum 5 days Monday-Friday). The online training periods in the platforms, workshops and courses are both for teachers and students, allowing in addition to the shared knowledge online, the opportunity to build good practices together. Mobilities will allow the improvement and sharing of good practices, the planning and development of training courses, activities and workshops, with the aim of advancing digital competence, and the strengthening of teaching processes-learning through pedagogical innovation with inclusive value, adding a social benefit, tools to address equal opportunities for all students, including those with special education needs. Both primary and secondary school students develop knowledge, tools and apps through their projects, which they share with the other partner schools through the different training platforms in order to attend to diversity. Student groups create projects to meet the demands of diversity, adapting contents or teaching units to inclusive formats that add value to their work. Students helping other students. We help both teachers and students to reach a high level in competencies such as: - Shared work in international and multidisciplinary teams. - Develop technological tools in an inclusive way and at the service of the community. - Develop a computational and critical thinking that prepares students for the new challenges of education and the professional world. - Enhance competencies of innovative methodologies in the acquisition of English as a Foreign Language. - Enhance the competencies of working with heterogeneous groups, where attention to diversity is a reality. Erasmus+ gives us the opportunity to lose our comfort framework, to face the enriching challenges of working cooperatively and as a team among different educational institutions in Europe, which gives us options for learning and sharing knowledge.
The Erasmus+ Project Working together: Education through new bridges is formed by a team of three educational centres committed to pedagogical innovation and the use of ICT in the classroom. Portugal - Italy - Spain united to share educational experiences. The strengths of some help the others to grow, and in this way we have found the ideal team to carry out this adventure. The reality of computational thinking, critical thinking gives us a workspace to integrate programming and robotics (scratch 3.0, app-inventor, Lego Education) as tools for a "learning by playing" and "learning by doing" approach that facilitates an immersion in the new values of pedagogical innovation in the classroom. Gamification and ICT are tools that support project-based work and broaden our educational framework to enrich our school's educational project. Our teaching teams at all three schools work with a passion for education, committed to offering our pupils the educational options they need to fully integrate into society. Our Erasmus+ project is framed to respond and improve our competences in: - Enhancing the digital competence of the whole educational community -Making open education a reality with innovative practices in the digital era. Programming and robotics - CLIL with ICT. - Improving attention to diversity with values of real social inclusion to improve equal access to new technologies for students with SEN. ICT gives us the opportunity to bring equal opportunities to students, and to generate new educational spaces for diversity. We have successfully achieved the following results: -Increased level of digital competence of pupils and teachers. -Enhance the collaboration and networking of the three schools to extend the collaborative work beyond the Erasmus+ project at the level of pupils and teachers. -To complete internal training courses in the schools after the mobilities increasing the number of teachers with ICT competences and facilitating the exchange of good practices. We’ve transformed the classroom, open education and innovative practices in the digital era have been achieved with the results of curriculum integration in the different educational stages with workshops and activities in Primary and Secondary Education in programming and robotics (SCRATCH JR. - SCRATCH 3.0) and CLIL with ICT (PLICKERS - KAHOOT - PADLETS - EDPUZZLE). Finally, we have been able to create a common content library. A repository of the activities carried out during the project, all of which is collected on our project website, where we bring our experience to the entire educational community. Erasmus+ gives us the opportunity to lose our comfort zone, to face the enriching challenges of working cooperatively and in teams between different schools in Europe, which generates options for shared learning and knowledge.
