The definition of employment and employment opportunities in today's society are undergoing a very big change. Jobs with permanent contracts are becoming increasingly scarce and focused mostly in public sector and very large companies, the only entities capable of guaranteeing long-term employment. Medium-sized and small businesses have a less stable future, which translates into temporary contracts or odd jobs. In addition, the world with a high number of people with higher education degrees, expects the employees to have competences that go beyond academic ones. Leadership, critical and creative thinking, motivation or teamwork skills are increasingly valued. Also communicative skills, both oral and through the media, are highly valued. With the high level of unemployment, especially among young people, which we see in almost all European countries, it is clear that, as educators, we have to prepare young people for more than just a job search. We have to prepare them to take initiative and create their own jobs. Entrepreneurial skills should be, but not always are, part of the school curriculum. Looking at the big picture, we are convinced that we have to work with young people on competencies that are related to entrepreneurship starting in secondary education. The main activity is the organization of this youth exchange between four countries, for young people between 13 and 18 years, with the aim of working on the competences related to entrepreneurship. Its general objectives are: 1. to promote youth mobility at the European level, 2. to introduce the theory of the Economy of the Common Good, 3. to introduce young people the concept of responsible entrepreneurship and contribute to a better understanding of the concept itself, 4. to improve skills related to entrepreneurship and employability in general, 5. to encourage young people to consider entrepreneurship as one of the job options, 6. to offer a space of intercultural integration promoting the culture of dialogue, tolerance and greater understanding of the reality that surrounds us, 7. to offer an opportunity to implement communication in a foreign language (English). After reaching the objectives, the young participants will have: - more ability to create ideas, - more ability to put their ideas into practice, - basic knowledge about entrepreneurship, - a responsible and sustainable vision of the economy, - more initiatives and actions that can provide solutions and change our sociedad, even if it is a small change at the local level, between family and friends, - better self-esteem and they will create a more realistic vision of what they are capable of. Also, they will: - understand the basic principles of the Economy of the Common Good, - experience a collaboration at the local and international level, - expand the knowledge about other cultures, - know how to work in a group, - know how to behave in a different environment than what they are used to, - improve verbal communication in English, - improve social skills.
