Objectives

In our organization we see a need to tackle this problem among our 90 young people, as well as friends and family, to educate in equality and tolerance towards a more open Europe without any ethnic or religious "frontiers", because we must not forget that they are the first ones interested in living with people of different cultures when having to look for opportunities outside of Spain, as this is happening. We believe that this culture of fostering cultural coexistence will bring about the education of a more tolerant, dialoguing and productive citizenship among our young people that can be provided in the medium term by people who are better able to assume positions of responsibility in decision-making. We also see the fundamental need to provide information, training and tools to all the agents involved in the project in order to tackle the problem from the bottom, understanding the reason of this situation, analyzing its origins, detecting the imbalances and points of conflict Intolerance towards immigrants and minorities in Europe is widespread. Eurobarometer data spring 2017 by the European Commission itself, show that a majority in eight EU countries share the opinion that there are too many immigrants, and almost half think the same about Muslims. Fears about the loss of culture, terrorism, crime and competition for economic resources help to explain the rise of intolerance in Europe. Nor has religious and cultural extremism helped to establish ties and points of dialogue, quite the contrary, the economic crisis and the "problem" of immigration makes us see with absolute passivity that religions emerge as an extreme point of support among citizens and these sometimes tend to exaggerate positions, often confusing them with conflicts between religions that lead to hatred and violence. Goals: 1- Awareness of the primary and immediate need in the current and next generation, to sensitize, empathize and value the role of structured and continuous dialogue between different communities and countries. 2- Create a culture of dialogue and conflict resolution through active listening and empathy, in order to reach common agreements of collaboration, tolerance, respect and a better way towards a more civic and humanitarian globalized citizenship. 3- Differentiate the different existing religions and how they are used erroneously to reach extreme points that attempt against citizenship. To achieve this, it is necessary, as we do see the participants and associations participating in the project itself, from 0, analyzing: 1- The reason for the extreme points and the consequences that can be triggered at their most critical levels. 2- The need to have valid resources to combat radicalism in a peaceful and educating way. 3- Create work ties at all levels among all countries of the exchange. For later: 2- Provide tools and resources based on social skills that help to sensitize all agents attached to the project to become aware of the issue we have worked on and thereby create an "expansive wave" that will at least help to eradicate the most intolerant behaviors and xenophobia that lead to extremism in our closest areas of action. 3- To understand the problem of immigration, and to focus on it not as a problem in itself, but rather as an opportunity to create bonds of collaboration, open borders and cultures and an economic generator, always in the strictest compliance with human rights and the legality of each country in force.
