With the PROACTIVE Project we strive to: - develop skills and reflection on values (diversity, interculturalism, tolerance), in order to better help and integrate migrant and refugee children; - broaden the horizons and knowledge of these young people about the situation of migrants and refugees not only in their city but in other European countries as well; - raise awareness in the local community to see migrants and refugees as a positive and enriching aspect of society. The objectives of the project are: - to potentiate and develop the skills of the young participants through volunteering with migrant and refugee children; - to reflect on the values of diversity, interculturalism and tolerance in an intercultural environment and in the non-maternal language (English); - to learn new methods and exchange dynamics to improve the support and integration activities we carry out with migrant and refugee children; - to develop interpersonal and intercultural competences through games and non-formal education methods.
