Traguardo Europa and Kaua de Taco are two national associations for the empowerment of young people with fewer opportunities who work for active citizenship and fighting against social exclusion. After the exchange of ideas and the good tuning seen in our relationship, we decided to carry out a project within the framework of the Erasmus + program should be the next step. Therefore, we proposed to promote active citizenship as the main objective of this collaboration, the develop of youth associations and the fight against the exclusion of minority groups, increasing initiatives of this kind and the social action of our young people as well as to improve the knowledge and tools that they could use, always through the use of non-formal education. All this, added to the desire of both to increase the impact of our activity, exchange good practices and the need to spread the work of the European Union have made this project possible and has generated a huge illusion in our organizations. Thanks to the achievement of this project, we will make young people know what it means to be an active citizen, what is associationism and how this can be the answer to fight against social exclusion and a weapon to achieve a more equitable and egalitarian society. In addition, the young people will know the different existing tools to carry out these initiatives and how the different programs of the European Union help its realization.
