Amari Zor (2nd International Youth Roma Exchange on Sports, Health and Culture) is a project that seeks in a creative and positive way to favor self-organization, empowerment, citizen awareness, sports values and the need for healthy lifestyles between young Roma and non-roma participants. Young people will have the opportunity to learn and share about themselves and their community of origin, an attitude of tolerance based on mutual respect will be encouraged, and through a series of non-formal sportive and educational activities, we will strengthened the cooperation between young people from different background. An intercultural dialogue to build a plural society is a fundamental element of the initiative. We want young Roma and non-roma to participate in the process, always looking for a balance of gender and ethnic and cultural background, etc. It is essential for us, from our work philosophy, to create a common, participatory space where diverse cultural and educational activities offer young people the opportunity to see themselves as positive agents for social change in their own communities, all of which It is possible through an activity such as sports, from which we want to promote all its natural values, companionship, fluid interpersonal communication among young people of different sociocultural background, honesty, respect, teamwork and participatory spirit. The event also has the support of local authorities and relevant political stakeholders, and has the benefit of our previous experience in projects of this type.
