Youth is nowadays disconnected from social life and there is a lack of channels to assist the participation of young people. This youth exchange pursues the discovering and reflection by youth about the potential of art as a communicative carrier that facilitates youth participation in the civil society. They will learn, in a context of communication and non-violent actions, to have room for the self expression about a social issue and to share with the others different disciplines: circus, scenic or graphic. In addition, in a practical way they will create an artistic piece (scenic or for exposition) to participate in a show and exposition that will be managed, organized and carried out by all the participants in the youth exchange. The main objective is that young participants understand how art can be used to be part of the social life in their environment. Specifically, the aims of the project consider the use of art as a way of social participation, the creation of a piece of art based on the learnings from the exchange, to build interest in participation issues and social actions and the obtaining of tools for this, to improve competences of different artistic disciplines, to create a network for all the partner organizations and to encourage intercultural awareness.
