We want to achieve a snowball effect, by supporting in the empowerment of young people from rural areas and cities to become agents of change, inspiring by example to other people to live a more eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyle. We want to raise awareness on how our daily choices and attitudes are impacting the environment, and how, by little daily changes that don't affect a lot our lifestyle, can bring a change in the planet's situation, right now quite crytical (deforestation, plastic pollution, etc.). We believe the change should not only come from regional/national/international level, but also from the citizens as individuals, and we want to collaborate to spark that change. With this project, we want to empower and inspire youngsters to take action and become inspiring examples of the change our planet needs, by triggering reflection on how environmental protection "its our business" and how it affects our daily life, sharing best practises from our countries and providing different tools that can be used daily to reduce our environmental impact. As Eduardo Galeano said, "many small people, in small places, doing small things can change the world.", and thats part of the idea we want to spread around Europe through this project, we need to act now, as individuals, i we want the upcoming generations to call the earth home. The objectives of this project are: -to bring together 30 young people from rural areas and/or unemployed to Covelo for the main activity; -to raise awareness about the impact our daily choices and lifestyle have on the environment; fostering collective reflection about the ecological issue in a European scale; -to foster sustainable attitudes and inspire participants to choose a more eco-friendly lifestyle; -to offer affordable and easy sustainable alternatives to reduce our individual ecological impact; -to improve participants key competences such as intercultural awareness, leadership, etc. -to raise awareness about the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ programme and European Solidarity Corps.
