In 2018 we made a youth exchange about sustainable development, with a great result. However, besides we got quite much information and achieve a good awareness, we were not so much centre on action that we as citizens can take. This project is focus more in what we can do; but not only this, also how we can motivate ourselves not just to change some habits but also to raise our self – esteem, being more active and put our ideas in action. During the time the young people of AJ Inter were starting to develop the idea of this project one of us met the Finish partner, what is specialize to work with NEETs (as well as others of our partners in this project) and they develop a regular training to these group of young people to encourage and helping to get higher self-confidence and get a place in the work market. They teach different forgotten technics (as kinetin or macramé) to use local resources to improve as citizens and at the same time to contribute to a more sustainable model of society. We as Europeans should know more about sustainable development and support environmental protection for future generations. Individually, we can each develop simple habits to become more sustainable in our own lives. For these reasons, we want to start an action, encourage and inspire sustainable working practices and crafts in young people’s daily life. Subsequently we aim: AIM: • Promote sustainable development through handcraft inherent to our European culture. Objectives: • Promote more sustainable habits (as foment local production, reusing/repairing habits). • Stimulate a more active citizen, especially these young people in the group of NEETs. • Promote entrepreneurship and putting young people own ideas in practice creating a positive impact in the young people self-esteem. • Encourage self-expression and boosts self-esteem of fewer opportunities young people. • Show some habits and tradition representatives from our European culture (through craft, and forgotten traditions). • Make pro sustainable development proposals for local population and social media using crafts. • Promote the intercultural learning among participants. This project has an ambitious dissemination plan. We want not only to change our habits and being more sustainable but also to influence the people of our circle and as well we do a participative presentation to encourage the local people of Andalucía to follow the step we are developing in this project.
