Objectives

"Spider Web" is a youth exchange of minors that will be held between July 25 and August 4 in Braojos, a rural town in the Sierra Norte de Madrid. The project aims to combine two elements; the environment and art. We believe that environmental education is a very important process that promotes reflections in young people about daily habits and actions and their impacts on the environment. This education serves to show the values and importance of caring for the environment, the problems that currently exist and the possible solutions and how to apply them. We know that it is convenient to promote environmental education during the youth of a person, the earlier the better, therefore we want to carry out this project with the minors. This project focuses not only on theoretical workshops, but above all on artistic activities for young people, which will favor their understanding and integration, as well as preparation for a future in which to have their own ideas to prevent and solve these problems. In this way our specific objectives are; -Create awareness, provide the appropriate tools to the participants and also to the local population so that they acquire greater sensitivity and awareness about the environment and its concrete problems. -Create knowledge, help them to understand the environment, its processes, the problems it faces and the role of humanity in them. - Promote attitudes, the learning of social values and an interest in the environment that motivate them to participate in their protection and improvement. - Promote skills, that people acquire the necessary skills to solve environmental problems. - Teach the participants different methods of environmental activism such as art.
