'Global Tales' Youth Exchange will take place in Lorca, from 7 to 16 October 2019 at the M13 Youth Training and Resource Centre in the city of Lorca, southeastern Spain. We have set the following objectives: - To promote active citizenship and the participation of young people; - To promote both solidarity and tolerance and to promote cultural diversity; - To promote debate, dialogue, respect, the capacity for collaboration and understanding; - To increase young people's knowledge of human rights; - Raise awareness of the need to respect and fulfill human rights and of our responsibility in the amplification of democratic values; - Promote critical thinking; - Support and encourage creativity; - To learn to compose positive messages that encourage reflection, as well as reaction and exchange of opinions. Thus the impact we will achieve will be great, both at the personal level of each of the participants as well as in their youth environment and our own. We will learn together with them and we will try to encourage them and ourselves to be more aware of our actions and their consequences. Young people will also learn more about the possibilities offered by the Erasmus+ Programme to continue taking initiative at local level, or to participate in other exchanges, European volunteering, etc. That is why our project is called Global Tales, because behind each one of us there is a story, and History is written by people.
