Objectives

The current environmental situation in Europe and the rest of the world has brought new discussions on issues such as the management of resources ,waste, global warming and mass consumption. Since the first signs of global warming, and after the economic crisis in Europe and In the United States, the term sustainability has become very popular. For many, the term "sustainability" implies environmental management, solutions to environmental problems and for others it is simply a synonym of "good". The project will give the answer to what it really means to live in a sustainable society. A sustainable society that has green energy systems, efficient agricultural techniques is respectful to the environment and with reduced consumption to eliminate waste. Therefore, all the activities of our Youth Exchange 'Eco-Education' are framed in a context of environmental awareness for the analysis of the social and environmental impact based on our way of life and active citizenship. Being an active citizen ,not in terms of political participation, but on the focus of citizen participation within the framework of sustainable development One of the objectives of the Erasmus + Program is to contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy: '' EU becomes an intelligent, sustainable and inclusive economy''. The strategy focuses on five ambitious objectives in the areas of employment, innovation , education, poverty reduction and climate / energy. With this project we will also address the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. Our intentions is ot only that participants are aware about sustainable systems, but we also help them understand sustainability as 'a product'. They will learn to be actors of a complex system that starts from the basis of their own personal and collective attitudes. Therefore, the participants will come to respond to a very concrete need: to recognize and define their own options to contribute and create more sustainable societies. The project is designed to analize several areas (environment, economy, society) not separatelly but rather in a holistic way. Therefore participants will be able to recognize and understand the interconnected relationships between economy, society and the environment together which are based on effects that our actions have from one area to another. The objectives of our project are: - Provide concrete tools to promote knowledge and education for entrepreneurship in the field of environment and sustainable development. - Explore the concept of sustainable development and its different dimensions (economic, environmental, social, in line with Europe 2020 priorities for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth) - Find inspiration by studing good practices in different regions and European countries - Share ideas and raise awareness about "green approaches" in daily life. - Work together with the participants to understand and critically analyze environmental problems and conflicts in specific local and European contexts. - Multiply the effects and benefits of the Erasmus + program through quality youth work.
